Spray Park gets invaded by the girls

The pictures should say enough. The little girls love the spray park and Kylie does too--- as long as the sun is out and its warm.
Anika trying to catch water in the bucket and Shay just screaming with excitement.

Shay
My favorite picture of Shay from that day--- the face says it all.
My favorite picture of Anika-- truly happy.
Anika
The only picture of Kylie from the park-- the girl would not stop running through the entire park. It was clearly impossible to get a picture unless she was sitting taking a break. Gotta love Cheerios. :)

Follow the leader- Shay is leading with Kylie and Natalie behind.

And Anika covering her one ear with her shoulder telling you she does not want to play and she is going her OWN way.

Uncle Craig and Aunt Dee came to visit!

Kylie was very excited that Uncle Craig and Aunt Dee visited this past weekend. I think she has told everyone about them-- even if they don't ask about her weekend. Its cute and very glad she had a good time with them as we did too! We even got to see cousin Jill and her boyfriend Phil-- its only taken us a few years, but we managed to get ahold of elusive Jill.

Pictures are below, but we didn't seem to get many. Maybe C&D will share..... please?

Kylie opening her birthday present from Craig and Dee--- chalk (a favorite) and a new princess book that Dad has been reading every night to Kylie since she received it! :)

Uncle Craig getting introduced to all Kylie's "friends"

Shay took a liking to Craig-- even let him put on her shoes.

The kids and Craig-- Anika would not leave our sides the entire weekend---she was just being overally shy.

Aunt Dee and Kylie working hard.

Dee trying to figure out the kids puzzles and Kylie looking around to see when Dee will get it done! :)

The Famous Dollhouse

The circumstances as to why we got the dollhouse over the 4th of July weekend was nothing to be desired, but Grandma and Grandpa finally got to get the dollhouse out of their house that they made for the kids for Christmas last year. The two crafters spent hours making this dollhouse!!

Needless to say since it has been here, it has made a huge addition to someones playtime. Kylie plays with the dollhouse everyday and has so many friends that get to play in the dollhouse. She truly loves it and I'm not sure how we functioned without it!

So-- THANKS Grandma and Grandpa! We all love it!

More July for lack of a better title...

Nothing new to report here. Weekend was full of great company, temper tandrums-complete throwing down of the body and kicking/screaming, overtired kids who do not nap, adventure walks, picking of vegetables and flowers, and just being kids. We look forward to this coming weekend when Uncle Craig and Aunt Dee to come play.

And the pictures to follow from the last week...

Kylie-- not sure what she is doing, but insisted we share the picture. Its a little odd to think that she is now picking which pictures to share and which ones to not share. She's not even 4!

Odin- he's been neglected on the blog. We thought he could use some compliments. He has lost 10 lbs this summer.

Again, another Kylie picture to be shared. She just says she is "being silly."

Shay eating her popsicle.... well, sort of. Kylie taught them how to eat it backwards and now they do it everytime to get a laugh.

Anika doing the same.... can you tell its bath night-- look at her hair!

I just want my DAMN milk!!!

Will you please push me?

Our little Amish girl... thanks Buppa! She loves it to play with it!

A "Calm" weekend

It seems like the past 6 weeks have been a whirlwind. Weddings, funerals, and holiday weekend-- it just never seems to stop. So this weekend, we made it stop. We had no plans, except for Chris and I heading out to dinner on Saturday, but otherwise we stayed close to home and the kids ended up needing it. (Especially after last week!)

Anika playing with her stroller-- she looked really "girlie" on this day, so I had to take pictures of it...

Anika getting worried that Shay will steal her stroller. Anika is VERY protective of "her" toys and will now throw her hands and feel down and kick and scream until someone helps her. Oh, we can't wait till teenage years!

See--- I told you, girlie outfit, right? Chris or Kylie must have picked it out!
Just Shay being a terd... she is not so good at the picture taking- she likes to get right next to the camera and have you do it.

Shay trying to escape the deck and come paint with Kylie.

Anika testing the waters in the princess pool.
Anika loving the water.

Kylie painting - very serious business.

And off the subject of the kids, but Chris' garden. We've already gotten a boatload of lettuce, spinach, onions, carrots.... I might be missing some, but I am sure it will be corrected by the garden master.

And the raspberries....and the keep coming.

No, I am not tired

This is what happens when you choose to wake up before the sun and not nap and procrastinate going to bed. For the past week, well maybe longer, this child wakes up between 5-5:30, does not nap, and then after her books are read, in her room at 7:15... she procrastinates, comes and ask questions, tells you she is hungry, bathroom, brush her teeth, reads to her friends in bed, etc... until 8:30.. yesterday it finally hit her-- she feel asleep infront of the tv, while her sisters were screaming because the neighborhood dogs were barking...

Poor Kylie... maybe someday she'll appreciate naps again!

4th of July weekend

This weekend was filled with almost everything you could imagine, atleast that is what it felt like to Chris and I..... no rest for the weary and today (Monday) I am paying for the busy weekend. Kylie has already walked into a wall after ballet class, fallen in the garage and again fallen outside her door... do you think these kids are tired? But, Kylie is claiming she is not tired, so this afternoon will be "one of those days."

Anyhow here are some pictures of the kids from the weekend-- not many since we are really good at bringing the camera and not taking pictures.

Kylie with Elmo at the Barrington Brat tent

All decorated for the parade-- thanks LINDA!

Shay and Anika waiting for this thing called a parade....

Anika lounging at home after the parade and eating her "candy"

Shay, surprisingly not eating candy, but happy to be home to watch her Nursery Rhymes
