Quick Trip to Iowa

We did one quick tour of Andrew Iowa this past weekend.... visited the Donovan bunch and picked up our meat. The kids had a blast playing with grandma and grandpa- from coloring with chalk, running outside, jumping on the beds, playing with trucks, dollhouses, coloring...whatever it was, they enjoyed it. Came home and sleep well--- so did mom and dad!

Here are some pics from the trip-- sorry, not great with the camera this weekend either.

Anika playing with Gma and Gpa's dollhouse. This one has way more furniture than mine!!!

Kylie getting pummelled by pillows by Gma and Dad.

Kylie thinks she won, but really she didn't.

Car ride home-gotta love stickers (all on her own mind you-- maybe because she was copying KMD).

Birthday Presents!

Buppa, this picture is for you-- Kylie made this with some help from me ( I know, don't faint) and is so proud of it. It is her first sewing project and she has more to do, but of all people, we (well, Julie) suggested I send a picture so you can see another one of your great grandchildren enjoying what you love. And Julie.... did you notice the shirt? She's wearing the other one tomorrow to school... :)

Grandma and Grandpa Donovan-- this one is for you. That birthday money burned a hole in Kylie's pocket. She got your letter on Saturday and was asking to go to the store that evening--- we made her wait until Monday. We are mean. After a couple trips down some aisles at the store, she finally decided on a pet unicorn. However, now the hard part is her deciding what to name her unicorn. We've been through every name, seasonal name, tree name, flower name, food item, etc, she just can't decide. So all your followers, send some ideas.

Trip to Iowa

This past weekend we headed to Iowa to spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa. We also got to see the Sibthorps, Parmers, and Donovans. It was a packed weekend, but it was great fun! The camera did not make it out of the bag much, so not many pictures. Sorry.... :(

Uncle Craig and Aunt Dee came to visit!

Kylie was very excited that Uncle Craig and Aunt Dee visited this past weekend. I think she has told everyone about them-- even if they don't ask about her weekend. Its cute and very glad she had a good time with them as we did too! We even got to see cousin Jill and her boyfriend Phil-- its only taken us a few years, but we managed to get ahold of elusive Jill.

Pictures are below, but we didn't seem to get many. Maybe C&D will share..... please?

Kylie opening her birthday present from Craig and Dee--- chalk (a favorite) and a new princess book that Dad has been reading every night to Kylie since she received it! :)

Uncle Craig getting introduced to all Kylie's "friends"

Shay took a liking to Craig-- even let him put on her shoes.

The kids and Craig-- Anika would not leave our sides the entire weekend---she was just being overally shy.

Aunt Dee and Kylie working hard.

Dee trying to figure out the kids puzzles and Kylie looking around to see when Dee will get it done! :)

The Famous Dollhouse

The circumstances as to why we got the dollhouse over the 4th of July weekend was nothing to be desired, but Grandma and Grandpa finally got to get the dollhouse out of their house that they made for the kids for Christmas last year. The two crafters spent hours making this dollhouse!!

Needless to say since it has been here, it has made a huge addition to someones playtime. Kylie plays with the dollhouse everyday and has so many friends that get to play in the dollhouse. She truly loves it and I'm not sure how we functioned without it!

So-- THANKS Grandma and Grandpa! We all love it!
